Biography

Mike is a PhD candidate in the Health Research Methodology Program (HRM) at McMaster University, working under the supervision of Dr. John N. Lavis and concurrently pursuing a diploma in Health Services and Policy Research. He holds a BHSc from McMaster, transferred from the MSc HRM program to the PhD program and also completed one year of political science training at the University of Toronto. Mike also holds three CIHR grants (one as co-principal investigator and two as co-investigator), has co-facilitated a series of five workshops at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care about using research evidence in health policymaking and has recently been awarded a CIHR-IHSPR Rising Star Award for 2009.
