Biography
Jill completed her PhD in Pyschology at the University of Melbourne, Australia. During 6 years as a lecturer in social psychology and psychological research methods at La Trobe University, she became attracted to the idea of testing psychological theory in 'real world' settings, and this led her to becoming involved in health research. In 2002 she moved to the Centre for Health Services Research at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in England and now works at the Health Services Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland while maintaining links with the Psychology Department at Aberdeen. Pursuing the themes of theory, measurement and interventions in professional behaviour change, she collaborates with groups in Aberdeen, Newcastle, Ottawa and Melbourne.
