Research Interests

  • The development, dissemination, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based decisions products such as clinical practice guidelines, standards, quality indicators, etc.
  • Decision-making, knowledge translation and/or brokering, and behaviour change particularly as it relates to health communication.
Melissa Brouwers

Biography

Dr. Brouwers is the Director of the Program in Evidence-based Care, Cancer Care Ontario and an Associate Professor (PT) in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.  She holds a BSc in psychology from the University of Toronto and an M.A. and PhD. in psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Dr Brouwers is an active and leading member of the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control (CSCC) and the principle lead of the Health Technology Utilization Guidelines of Ontario (Health TUGO), a collaboration between the MOHLTC Medical Advisory Secretariat and McMaster University.
